When it comes to men’s waistcoats, we think we’ve cracked the code. Business at the front, silky at the back. (Snazzy printed lining inside.) In a three-piece-suit situation, you might think that men’s waistcoats get a raw deal. Always playing second fiddle to the blazers. But we don’t feel too sorry for them. Blazers do the formal bit. Waistcoats have all the fun. At a wedding or party, there comes a point in the evening. (Every man instinctively knows when it’s arrived.) The blazers come off. The ties get lost. The top buttons are opened. The party’s getting started and it’s the waistcoats’ time to shine.
